Cicuit Overseer and District Overseer came looking for me today............
by RULES & REGULATIONS inlast week was the 2 day assembly.i didn't go to either one.
today,my mom called and told me the the c.o.
and d.o.came for a visit.i've been attending only once a week and no field service in about 4 years.

Actually, I went to see Andre Rieu in concert last week.....His orchestra performed the Bolero...All I can say is....WOW!!!!!

How many remember the 1969 8 day convention?
by seek2find inanybody remember the 8 day 1969 international convention.
i was at the braves stadium in atlanta all 8 days with a sunburn and then wet clothes after the rain storms.
if you were there (not necessarily in atlanta) do you remember anything about it?

I was 6 years old and I remember taking the bus into NYC, then the subway to Yankee Stadium. The Subway was probably the best part of the whole experience. I remember we were sitting with the woman (Adele) who was giving my Mom the bible study at the time and being told to pay very close attention because Brother Knorr was giving a talk. All I remember about Brother Knorr's talk is that I was very bored.

Scanning the Obituaries for lost loved ones
by jeanniebeanz inam i the only person here who scans the obits in their 'home town' paper for the names of lost family because you know you would not be notified of their passing?
afterall, god forbid that you show up at their funeral and ruin it with your apostate presence.. just wondering....

I do that as well. Especially since most newspapers are on line, it makes it much easier. I've seen several obits, especially of people who were in my old congregation, or families of people that I knew from the JW's or school.
